Named for the gentle beast of the bushveld, Moditlo means ‘place of the elephant’, and the quiet grace of this extraordinary creature echoes throughout the lodge and its surroundings.

Moditlo River Lodge offers game drives in the early morning and late afternoon when the game is most active. Game drives are conducted by experienced nature guides in open 4X4 game-viewing vehicles. Morning game drives include complementary coffee and tea; afternoon drives include sundowners and snacks.
Moditlo is a photographer’s dream. Capture incredible images during our daily game drives or simply take a stroll around the grounds at the Main Lodge where you’ll often find shy little antelope other plains game rooting in the underbrush.
